Start Adoption Proceedings Today with LeBaron Law & Mediation

LeBaron Law & Mediation is committed to creating bright futures through adoption. Our goal is to fulfill dreams of parenthood for adoptive families and to find loving, caring homes for children. We recognize that no two adoptions are alike because each set of adoptive parents and birth parent(s) have different needs. Many factors are considered when bringing these lives together through the love of a child. Birth parent(s) and adoptive families choose each other and create an adoption plan according to each person’s needs and desires. Both parties help decide the type of adoption preferred.

We provide confidentiality and the highest quality of individualized service. We are well connected with excellent social workers who collaborate with us in obtaining excellent results and helping us help adoptive and birth parents every step of the way. The adoption finalization hearing held approximately six months after placement is the crowning event. We make this hearing as special as possible.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does the adoption process take?

There is a 6-month waiting period after the child is placed in your home. In total it takes approximately 9 months to complete the adoption which includes home studies, pleadings and a finalization hearing.

Who does the relinquishment at the hospital?

A licensed social worker from the agency of your choosing will handle the relinquishment of the child at the hospital. Our office will prepare the relinquishment paperwork and petition for adoption. We can give you a referral for a social service agency, if needed.

I needed help with a quick probate as well as help with dealing with a government agency that I had worked on for over a year with no luck. In two weeks the probate was settled and after only a couple of months the US Forrest Service issue was resolved. They kept me informed through the process and I will use them in the future if I ever need legal help.
